Rising 6th, 7th or 8th graders

Why cotillion?
When middle schoolers learn to:

  • Introduce themselves properly
  • Carry on conversations with peers and adults
  • Learn how to set a table
  • Learn Amercian Style of Dining
  • Learn Continential Style of Dining
  • Give a solid handshake
  • Learn to dance the Foxtrot and Salsa
  • Represent themselves well online
  • Balance their digital life with in-person interactions
  • Be a welcoming host and thankful guest
  • Write a thank you note

They aren't just improving their manners and dancing the box trot or salsa. They're building CONFIDENCE to help them navigate the awkward middle school years and learning LIFE SKILLS that will follow them into adulthood.

THE DETALS:

AGES

Cotillion may be offered to rising 6th or 7th or 8th graders.

SCHEDULE

We will meet for a series of 5 classes:

2 - Etiquette & Manners (to learn about Dining Etiquette and Personal Presence)- one hour programs

2 - Dance (to learn the Foxtrot and Salsa) - one hour programs

A semi-formal ball - one hour celebration.

Maybe offer punch and cookies to complete this memorable event.

WHEN

Invitations will be emailed and registration will open once the dates have been determined.

Class portion may be offered as an after school. We have found offering a 5:15pm-6:15pm and/or 6:15pm-7:15pm weekday has been very successful.Or on a Saturday or Sunday.

CELEBRATION ATTIRE

The girls attend the semi-formal in dresses or skirts and white gloves. The boys wear coats and ties.

The Money Game - Financial Literacy Program

It is a financial education game where the kids are the pieces of the game. If you're looking for a unique, action-packed, information-rich, imagination-igniting financial education program to provide your group then look no further. Social Security, and Medicare/Medicaid
Everyday Expenses and Bills - Utilities, Rent, Car, Insurance and Credit Cards
The financial cost of Life Events
Recording and keeping track of your money, assets, and liabilities
And learn about earned and passive income and so much more!

The Money Game® provides an opportunity for participants to learn how to make, manage, and multiply their money wisely, so they can grow up financially free.
Perfectly Polite Dining Etiquette
Age 7-16
How to set a table to start to finish, American Style of Dining, Continental Style of Dining, Posture, Proper Introductions, How to sit Still, Dining Conversations, Thank you notes and so much more.
1-Hour Program-without a meal or 2-Hour Program-with a meal
International Dining Etiquette
For Children or Adults
  • Learn and explore all the cultural and global differences.
  • We will present international dining for the following countries England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Chile, Saudi Arabia, China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, India International Tipping Standards, and finally, compare the United States to the other countries.
  • Offered in person or online.
1-Hour Program - can be present with or without a meal.
Etiquette Tea Party
For Children or Adults
  • Themes To Pick From: Mommy & Me, Teddy Bear Picnic Or Afternoon Tea Party
  • Enjoy and learn about the dining etiquette, history, and customs of Afternoon Tea.

Princess Party - Good Manners
Age: 4-8
Wear your favorite Princess Party Attire! Learn how to become a Princess by using your magic words, by knowing your dining manners, and how to properly introduce others. Enjoy a Princess craft and music!
1-Hour Program
Superhero Party - Good Manners
Age: 4-8
Wear your favorite Superhero attire! Learn how to be a Superhero by using your magic words, by knowing your dining manners, and how to give proper introductions. Enjoy a Superhero craft and music!

Personal Branding, Presence And Social Media
Age: 8-16
Learn how your attitude, personal style, non-verbals, and social media image create your personal brand. Offered in person or online.
